It’s National Moon Day, the remembrance of the first moon landing, July 20, 1969. But I’m glad that this year, it’s more than a “remembrance.”

Just as President John Kennedy proclaimed in 1962,

We choose to go to the moon!

We’re saying it again. We just sent four astronauts around the moon back in April in the Artemis II mission, and the 2027 crew of Artemis III has already been named. We’re moving toward another moon landing. We’re on the offensive, not resting on an accomplishment of nearly 60 years ago. It’s a mindset England could have used when they lost to Argentina last week.
