The deck is prepped and ready to be stained this week…
It had been raining/snowing all day Monday with the usual prediction of 1-3 inches total. I didn’t even know the forecast had changed until my son in Atlanta texted me: “Just looked at your weather…8 inches tonight?” We got 12, and we’ll get to the deck…eventually.
We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. (Proverbs 16.9, NLT)
That’s CO for you! Good reading day?
Reading?? (Un)fortunately, I had another project going on, painting the inside of the garage, so I was able to finish that instead of working on the deck.
I think of these ‘surprise’ weather events….especially this late in May….. as a test of our ability to be flexible. I think Dan & I did well.
We got a little over 8″. Dan had not put our snowblower away for the season and it came in quite handy yesterday. However, our basset hounds spent most of the day trying to break through a large drift out back to get to the rest of the yard….I think our girl was the leader.
I am excited to think how beautiful all the wildflowers will be with all this moisture.
Your snow blower must be better than mine. Mine became a motorized snow pusher! Between it and my shovel, I got it cleared. Love your perspective about the wildflowers!
