My wife, June, is the ultimate sky watcher! Her first word as a toddler was “moon.” She frequently comes to get me, “Quick! Come look at the sky!” and there’s a sunset or a sunrise well worth getting out of my chair for.
Yesterday, it was the middle of the afternoon. I don’t recall ever seeing color in the clouds at that time:
Sunset followed a few hours later:
But neither of those was a match for this morning’s spectacular sunrise:
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. (Psalm 19.1, ESV)
God’s glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon. (Psalm 19.1, MSG)
