It’s Veteran’s Day! A day to remember the warriors among us. I’ve written before about how God values warriors<\/a>. Please check it out.<\/p>\n\n\n

I am a retired Air Force officer, but I don’t consider myself a warrior. But I served with warriors and knew many others. I want to tell you what Veteran’s Day meant to one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I met Mac after he retired from the Army. He was proud of his service. He’s one of the few who would call to wish me (a non-warrior, remember?) a happy Veteran’s Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mac flew helicopters in Viet Nam, rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He loved the Army. He picked up an MBA along the way and worked for a defense contractor after he retired. But it wasn’t the same. Soon he had a no-stress, no-responsibility job at WalMart. What happened?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
