In Deuteronomy 11 we get a couple of hints on how to pull that off:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>You shall therefore <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>place these words of mine on your heart and on your soul, and you shall <\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>bind them as a sign on your hand, &#8230;and phylacteries between your eyes. And you shall<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>teach them to your sons, speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall <\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens remain above the earth. (Deuteronomy 11.18 &#8211; 21, LSB, bulleted for clarity)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s simple: we have to keep the Word in front of us. Whatever it takes. <a href=\"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=517\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scripture memory<\/a> comes to mind as a practical way to implement this instruction today. Plus talking about the Word around the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Moses doesn&#8217;t mind repeating himself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. \u00a0You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
