Seth is a marketer by trade, but he writes on a variety of subjects, frequently challenging us to live generously and creatively. I don&#8217;t know whether or not he is a believer, but he certainly espouses Biblical principles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, he wrote this short piece on <a href=\"https:\/\/seths.blog\/2023\/01\/bitterness-is-consistent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bitterness<\/a>, which I reproduce in its entirety:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Bitterness Is Consistent<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>It will never let you down.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Bitterness is never-ending, impenetrable and refuses to negotiate. If you give it a chance, it will persist.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>It lacks nuance or surprise. It\u2019s simply a wall you can lean against, whenever you choose.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Consistency is all it has to offer, actually.<\/em> &#8211; Seth Godin, January 21, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or, as my friend and Navigator mentor, the late Skip Gray used to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Bitterness is a pill you take and hope the other guy dies<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Apostle Paul was clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. (Ephesians 4.31, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As was the writer of the Hebrews:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no \u201croot of bitterness\u201d springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled.
