I closed our second <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=4854\" target=\"_blank\">meditation<\/a> on Philippians 3 with Paul&#8217;s reminding us that Jesus is our focus from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Colossians+1%3A15+-+20&amp;version=ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colossians 1.15 &#8211; 20<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And we&#8217;ll see tomorrow that a focus on Jesus prevents our falling into legalism. For now, let&#8217;s look at yet another of Paul&#8217;s prayers. Maybe that&#8217;s why his ministry was so effective!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to\u00a0<\/em><\/li><li><em>walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,\u00a0<\/em><ul><li><em>fully pleasing to him,\u00a0<\/em><\/li><li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=2953\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bearing fruit<\/a> in every good work and\u00a0<\/em><\/li><li><em>increasing in the knowledge of God. <\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em>May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all\u00a0<\/em><ul><li><em>endurance and\u00a0<\/em><\/li><li><em>patience with joy, <\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em>giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Colossians 1.9 &#8211; 12, bulleted for clarity)<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walk worthy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pleasing him<\/li><li>Bearing fruit<\/li><li>Increasing in the knowledge of God<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strengthened with all power for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Endurance<\/li><li>Patience<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
