My son David just passed this on from a sermon he heard last weekend at a regional evangelism conference for pastors. It&#8217;s from a familiar verse: 2 Corinthians 5.17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was <a href=\"https:\/\/hbcharlesjr.com\/\">H. B. Charles<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Corinthians+5%3A14-21&amp;version=ESV\">2 Corinthians 5.14 &#8211; 21<\/a> to talk about evangelism, but he stopped at verse 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Anyone&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Black, white<\/em><\/li><li><em>Republican, Democrat<\/em><\/li><li><em>Rich, poor<\/em><\/li><li><em>Young, old<\/em><\/li><li><em>Male, female<\/em><\/li><li><em>&#8230;anyone<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I and most people I know memorized this verse, the emphasis was always on &#8220;new creation.&#8221; That&#8217;s me! I am a new creation! Praise God! Important, yes. But so is the <em>anyone<\/em>. Not just me. Not just people like me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>ANYONE<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3.28, ESV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, <strong>anyone <\/strong>can have a whole and lasting life.
