{"id":3190,"date":"2021-04-15T17:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T23:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=3190"},"modified":"2021-04-09T18:19:35","modified_gmt":"2021-04-10T00:19:35","slug":"live-in-peace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=3190","title":{"rendered":"Live in peace&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In keeping with our <a href=\"https:\/\/drbobewell.com\/?p=3187\">meditation yesterday<\/a> that all of us have a part to play, and my organization, The Navigators, is one of many working to advance the Kingdom, I need to share a poem that applies to another conversation I had recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My friend and fellow disciple-maker and pastor coach Ray Bandi and I were discussing a certain book in which the author, a pastor, urges churches to intentionally make disciples (a good thing!). However, this pastor is very high on &#8220;the local church&#8221; as the ONLY means by which God works. There is no room in his system for organizations such as The Navigators. (By the way, for a thorough theological treatment of this issue, I strongly recommend the book <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\/Beyond-Local-Church-Apostolic-Movements\/dp\/0830844368\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=31YJBKEXL7WKI&amp;dchild=1&amp;keywords=beyond+the+local+church&amp;qid=1618012906&amp;sprefix=beyond+the+local+%2Caps%2C226&amp;sr=8-1\">Beyond the Local Church<\/a> by Sam Metcalf.
